The suburban neighbourhood of Morgan’s Grant is situated on the north side of Kanata and adjacent to the Kanata North Business Park. This high-technology centre is home to over 500 companies employing over 21,000 technology employees. Morgan’s Grant is composed primarily of single family homes and townhomes built after 1988. It is home to over 8000 people, mostly families with young children.

There are many recreational activities available to residents of Morgan’s Grant. Outdoor rinks, baseball diamonds, basketball courts, play structures, splash pads, a skateboard park, sports fields and tennis courts are there to enjoy. There are walking and biking paths throughout the community and adjacent are the scenic Trillium Woods consisting of a 15 kilometre multi-use trail network for hiking and a favourite for local mountain bike enthusiasts. An indoor pool, a gym and other indoor fitness activities may be found at the Richcraft Recreation Complex. A short drive to the beaches and boat access points in Dunrobin and Constance Bay provide for added summer fun.

There are plenty of grocery stores, banks, restaurants, coffee shops and other convenience stores in the Morgan’s Grant area. Isn’t it great when you can live and work practically next door such as in the Kanata North Business Park? For others, the recently completed Park and Ride lot in Morgan’s Grant makes morning and afternoon commutes easier including into the downtown Ottawa in 50 minutes.
